March Updates

The Food Gallery at Frist Campus Center opening on March 17

Center for Jewish Life: March 25 through April 4 – The Center for Jewish Life dining hall will be closed from dinner on Thursday, March 25 through Sunday, April 4 except for students eating kosher for Passover meals in celebration of the holiday. 

The Center for Jewish Life dining hall will resume academic hours of operation on Monday, April 5.

 

Food Gallery at Frist Campus Center: March 17 – The Food Gallery at Frist Campus Center will be opening Monday through Friday, beginning on March 17, with a limited grill menu. Menu items will include the Crafted Burger, Beyond Burger®, chicken tenders, individual cheese pizza, fries, salad, and dessert.

Each student on a meal plan will be given two meal swipes to use between March 17 and April 16 and another two meal swipes to use between April 19 and May 15 at the Food Gallery. Only one meal plan swipe can be used during a meal period. A meal plan swipe includes one entree, side, dessert, and beverage. Additional items can be purchased at cost.

Please bring the reusable orange Campus Dining tote you received as a welcome bag for meal pickups. Meals will be served in take-out containers. Bags will not be available.

February Updates

Dining Halls Open for Spring Semester on February 1

All undergraduate dining halls, the Center for Jewish Life, and the Graduate College dining hall will be open starting with lunch on February 1st.

Please bring the reusable orange Campus Dining tote you received as a welcome bag for meal pickups. Meals will be served in take-out containers. Bags will not be available.

Undergraduate students are permitted to eat in any undergraduate dining hall and the Center for Jewish Life (CJL), but we encourage students to dine in the dining hall closest to their dorm.

Graduate students may pick up meals from any dining hall, but are encouraged to dine in Procter Hall when choosing to dine-in.

Limited seating will be available in the dining halls and in the tents. Available seating is determined in accordance with social distancing guidelines and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Moving furniture is prohibited. If seating is no longer available, food must be taken out.

Heated tents are located at Butler/First just outside of Wu Hall, Blair/Joline, Frist South Lawn, and the Graduate College.

The undergraduate dining halls and the Graduate College dining hall will all be serving the same menu. Daily menus can be found here.

One swipe per meal period. No reentry. Guest meals and all other meal programs are unavailable. Students are required to swipe themselves in.

Face coverings must be worn at all times in accordance with the University’s Face Covering Policy. Please apply face covering prior to entering the building.

Please note that breakfast in the dining halls ends promptly at 10 a.m. in order for the space to be properly sanitized and prepared for lunch. We ask that you arrive to the dining halls no later than 9:45 a.m. to allow us ample time to be able to serve you and close on time. Thank you for your support in helping us keep the dining halls safe for all.

Breakfast: 7:30 –10 a.m.
           (First College entrance closed during breakfast hours)
Breakfast at Whitman: 7 –10 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Dinner: 5–8 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday

Brunch: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Dinner: 5–8 p.m.

 

Center for Jewish Life Dining hall Hours
Monday–Thursday

Breakfast: 8:15–9:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Friday

Breakfast: 8:15–9:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Dinner*: Closed

Saturday

Closed - Shabbat meals only

Sunday

Brunch: 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:30–7 p.m.

 

CJL Friday night dinner is by reservation only and meals on Saturday will be closed to students not participating in Shabbat. For more information on reservations please contact [email protected].

 

Graduate College Dining Hall (Procter Hall) Hours
Monday–Friday

Breakfast: Closed
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
Dinner: 5–8 p.m. Continental breakfast for the next day will be picked up during dinner.

Saturday and Sunday

Brunch: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Continental breakfast for the next day will be picked up during brunch.
Dinner: Closed

 

Witherspoons Hours

Daily: 8 a.m.–10:30 p.m.

 

Cafe Vivian Hours

Monday–Thursday: 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Cafe Vivian will be open for lunch meal purchases only. Individual items are not available for purchase.
Daily menu will reflect menu being served in the residential dining halls with additional vegetarian options.
Accepted Forms of Payment: Student meal plans, credit card, Paw Points, Student Charge, and TowerCards.

 

Frist Food Gallery (Opening March 17)
Monday–Friday

Lunch: 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Dinner: 4–8 p.m.
Students on a meal plan will be given two meal swipes to use between March 17 and April 16 and another two meal swipes to use between April 19 and May 15.
