Ramadan Mubarak!

Below you will find information and FAQs about this year's Ramadan meal program.

Ramadan Meal Information

Meal Plan Holders Undergraduate & Graduate

Suhoor

Monday–Friday: 6–8 p.m.

Saturday–Sunday: See FAQs

You will be able to self-select items for your bags including (but not limited to) fresh fruit, breakfast items, snacks, shelf-stable & cold entrees.

You must have your PUID with you, and an attendant will check you in. This meal will be counted as a breakfast swipe for the following day.

Iftar

Frist Food Gallery and C-Store. A $15 allotment will be provided, any additional expenditure will be charged to the student directly as a retail purchase. If the $15 dollar allotment is utilized, it will be processed as a dinner swipe for that day.

Food Gallery

Monday–Thursday: 6–8 p.m.

Green reusable containers will be utilized at the Food for Thought Station for Halal Entrees. It is required to return your reusable container to receive another container.

C-Store

Friday–Sunday: 6–8 p.m.

Undergraduate Non-Meal Plan Holders

The two meals per week that are allotted to be used within Campus Dining can be used for Suhoor and Iftar.

Graduate Non-Meal Plan Holders

The 6 meals per semester that are allotted to be used within Campus Dining can be used for Suhoor and Iftar.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and Staff can take advantage of the variety of options in the C-Store and Food Gallery during the month of Ramadan. In addition to the variety of hot and cold halal options at the grill, pizza, and grab and go stations, there will be a halal entrée offered at the Food for Thought station (halal entrée special from 6–8 p.m. only). Grab and go halal entrees will also be offered in the C-Store.

Campus Dining Ramadan Program Registration

Campus Dining plans to accommodate and support students who are observing Ramadan by offering Suhoor and Iftar meals at Frist Campus Center during the month of Ramadan.

Students must register for Ramadan meals by completing the online form by March 10, 2023. Registration is required to participate in this program. All students may register for Iftar meals. Suhoor meals are only available to Campus Dining meal plan holders.

Suhoor

March 22, 2023 – April 20, 2023

Monday – Friday, 6–8 p.m.

Cafe Vivian

Students will pick up, customizable Suhoor meal kits at Cafe Vivian. Meal kits will include foods that are both nutritionally dense and that offer variety. Students will be able to select fruits, baked goods, protein items, beverages, snacks, and complete meals in accordance with their dietary preferences and schedules. 

Iftar

March 23, 2023 – April 21, 2023

Monday – Thursday, 6–8 p.m.

Food Gallery

Students will be provided an allotment to pick up Iftar meals at the Food Gallery. In addition to the daily halal offerings at the grill, pizza, and grab and go stations, there will be a halal entrée offered at the Food for Thought station (halal entrée special from 6–8 p.m. only).

Friday – Sunday, 6–8 p.m.

C-Store

Students will be provided an allotment to select from a variety of prepackaged meals and other menu items including halal grab-and-go options.
