Care.Connection.Community A Letter to Our Students

May 29, 2020

Dear Students,

Congratulations on all of your accomplishments as we come to the end of the 2019-2020 Academic Year. My team and I were so grateful to be present for your time at Princeton and witness you celebrate so many milestone moments. During theme meals and special events, you partnered with us to develop fun and joyful occasions and even collaborated to write a few menus!

For the Great Class of 2020, we are just amazed by you. You have dealt with the year with great poise and we were so glad that we were able to extend our hospitality.

For the Graduate students, we are tremendously proud of your efforts and partnership with us as we worked through the details of Procter Hall meals.

Over the past 10 weeks, all the students who remained on campus were gracious and my team has appreciated procuring ingredients, preparing the meals from scratch, packing them up, and serving you. We know you had to make adjustments and we are so pleased that we were able serve you with enormous care through our food while maintaining the safety of you and our staff. We hope that we were able to create a few mini moments of magic through our special snack bags and home-made baked goods.

We look forward to the time when we can all be back together, whether it is in the dining halls, at a café, or under a tent.

Safe Travels and Have an Enjoyable Summer,
Smitha, Sue, and Cristian

A message to our community

As we acclimate to the new ways on campus, I realize so much has changed in just a few days. Some of the things that gave me the most joy, such as meeting with our students, talking with you during special events, or meeting my colleagues can no longer happen in the same way, at least for the time being. Along with my team, I wanted to think of ways to keep our connections alive, continue to show our care, and engage with our community. That being said, we are starting a new series called, Care.Connection.Community through which we will share messages with you.

Stay healthy and be well,
Smitha
