Recipe Notes

Baking Time: 25-30 minutes


  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • 2 cups chocolate chips


  1. Pre-heat oven to 325°F.

  2. Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in medium size bowl and mix by hand using a rubber spatula.  

  3. In a separate bowl sift together all of the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder).

  4. Using a rubber spatula carefully fold the dry ingredients into the melted butter mixture until thoroughly mixed.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Spread batter evenly into a 9"x13" baking pan that has been lightly coated with a non-stick baking spray.

  7. Bake in oven for 25—30 minutes. Do not over bake.
